A charging pile, also known as a charging station, is an energy supply device that provides charging services for electric vehicles. It is mainly divided into floor-standing charging piles and wall-mounted charging piles, and adopts charging methods based on time, energy consumption, or monetary value.
Charging piles can be fixed on the ground or wall-mounted, installed in public buildings (such as office buildings, shopping malls, public parking lots) and residential community parking lots or charging stations. They can provide charging for various models of electric vehicles based on different voltage levels. The input end of the charging pile is directly connected to the AC power grid, and the output end is equipped with a charging connector for charging electric vehicles.
With the increasing popularity of new energy vehicles, the construction of charging piles is expected to accelerate in the future. As the penetration rate of new energy vehicles continues to rise, the potential market size for charging piles is expected to reach trillions of dollars.
