The Anting Shanghai International Automobile City Industry Circle Salon, known as "MfChip Electronics," was successfully held on February 17th at Tian'an Digital City. The event was organized by Shanghai Jiading National Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base (Automobile and Parts) and Shanghai International Automobile City Shimo Industrial Co., Ltd., with guidance from Anting Shanghai International Automobile City.
During the event, industry insiders emphasized the significant growth in China's automotive intelligence sector, which has surpassed a penetration rate of 30% in 2022. This figure is projected to reach 70% by 2030, leading to a surge in demand for automotive chips. However, it is noteworthy that the domestic automotive chip market is predominantly dominated by foreign companies, with China's self-sufficiency rate in automotive chips remaining below 10%.
Mr. Gu Jiajie, the CEO of Shanghai MfChip Electronics Technology Co., Ltd., attended the salon and also granted an interview with CCTV.
In his address at the salon, Mr. Gu Jiajie showcased MfChip Electronics' IGBT, BMS, and MCU series products, demonstrating the company's determination and capabilities to drive domestic chip substitution and facilitate industry upgrades. He disclosed plans for MfChip Electronics to release several IGBT chip products in March of this year, offering comprehensive turnkey solutions for the automotive and energy sectors.
The event drew attendance from representatives of Jiading District Business Committee, Jiading District Investment Promotion Center, Shanghai Automotive Chip Engineering Center, Shanghai International Automobile City Shimo Industrial Park, Shanghai Automotive Chip Security and Testing Industrial Park, and over 20 upstream and downstream enterprises in the automotive chip industry from Shanghai and Shenzhen. Together, they explored opportunities and challenges presented by automotive chips in technological innovation and industrial upgrading amid the "New Four Modernizations" era. The focus was on seeking effective paths for collaborative development between chip manufacturers and automakers, fostering the transformation and upgrading of the chip industry, and advancing China's pursuit of independent and controllable key technologies.
